The theme for this is “Blue.” Will be closing at 11.30 pm so get those entries in!!!! The themes for this year’s online challenges are in the competition tab so you enter at any time. You will also find downloadable rules.
Please remember there are no composites apart from online challenge 3 which is “composite”
Tuesday 2nd March – How to critique 101
Tonight we will have 3 presenters who will be looking at your photos and giving their critique’s – if anyone was at the last event that this happened will agree that is is an awesome night getting to hear different opinions and get a glimpse into what judges are looking for.

4.6 Landscape
Portraying the beauty of the wider vista, including sky and seascapes. This can be natural or urban unless expressly stated otherwise. Natural landscapes can contain people or buildings, etc, provided they are not the dominant feature. Urban landscapes would be a city/town/urban scene, with emphasis on structures or landscape rather than people. This can be a detail or a wider shot. BASIC EDITING ONLY
Tuesday 30th March – Guest speaker (extra meeting!)
Clubrooms 7 pm start. Tonight we have guest speaker Rina Sjardin-Thompson. This is the opening paragraph on her website
“I am a full time photographer for 8 years completely obsessed with all things landscape. I include landscapes with family photos, weddings, businesses and product photography so all my work is down within natural light and outside in the environment. I have also ventured into the world of abstract though still within the landscape genre.” Check out her amazing photography and come along and be inspired!
Wednesday 31st March – Camera Craft – Creating Abstract
Clubrooms 7 pm start. Come along, learn and get all abstracty!!! Will let you all know if anything specific needs to be bought along closer to the time but at least bring a note pad

All things being equal we are off to Twizel for late Autumn this year. So many amazing places are so easy to access from here. And maybe chances to do some Astrophotography too

Photographers wanted
Rangiora Promotions is running Eats & Beats at Victoria Park on Saturday, 13 March from 16:00 -21:30. We are looking for some photographers for this afternoon/evening. If you want more information please see Shane either at a club meeting or his details are on the 2021 programme.
