So what’s upcoming?
Tuesday 16th February – Guest speaker – Judging 101
Tonight we have the fabulous David Woodcock speaking about judging. This evening will be very interactive with photos for all to practice with. Come along with your note pad and a willingness to learn.
We will also be showing an AV on Twizel. This is our first weekend field trip. 23 – 25 April. We will be staying at the High Country Lodge if you want to have a look. This is a stunning area to visit and a super fun time! Colleen will be letting us all know more about the weekend.
There will be the usual raffle and hot drinks for the break.
Wednesday 17th February – 1st Open closes
First competition of the year closes tonight 11.30 pm. It will be judged at club meeting on Tuesday 16th March. There is no theme or subject for this open.

4.8 Open or Set Subject Any subject matter is permitted, unless a subject or theme has been specified. In this case, the subject/theme must be adhered to for any award to be given. No editing restrictions.
Sunday 28th February – Online challenge closes
Theme for this is “Blue” Will be closing at 11.30 pm so get those entries in!!!! The themes for this years online challenges are in the competition tab so you enter at any time. You will also find the downloadable rules.
Please remember there are no composites apart from online challenge 3 which is “composite”
Tuesday 2nd March – How to critique 101
Tonight we will have 3 presenters who will be looking at your photos and giving their critique’s – if anyone was at the last event that this happened will agree that is is an awesome night getting to hear different opinions and get a glimpse into what judges are looking for.

Photographers wanted
Rangiora Promotions is running Eats & Beats at Victoria Park on Saturday, 13 March from 16:00 -21:30. We are looking for some photographers for this afternoon/evening. If you want more information please see Shane either at a club meeting or his details are on the 2021 programme.
