Waimakariri BridgePeter WrightWow, love this image and the beautiful colors.  The beauty of this image is the boldness and strength of this giant structure in such a peaceful scene.Accepted
Control Tower Chch airportPeter WrightThis is a stunning interpretation of architecture that can be turned into an abstract art pieces for the wall.Honours
B GRADE
Te Rewa Rewa bridgeArthur LinnellThis image’s soft color palette and architectural curves is very pleasing on the eye.Accepted
Vancouver Public LibraryPeter O’DeaThe scene likely shot the late afternoon looks warm and inviting.  I would recommend straightening the vertical perspective to further enhance this lovely image.Accepted
ReflectionsCliff BoddySuch lovely tones and reflections in this image makes the eye wander all around and want to see more.  Great work.Honours
Three waysArthur LinnellNice capture of interesting architecture leading the viewer’s eyes north.  Tidying up the dust spot would be recommended by cloning away the small distraction.  Accepted
FacadeCliff BoddyRepetitive patterns in architecture combined with the beauty of construction materials makes of this artistic piece.  Well seen and capture.Accepted
Old versus NewMike TrushellThis image made me smile straight away and has been cleverly composed by the photographer.Accepted
Stained GlassJenny LeadbetterThe beauty of the stained glass says it all for me.  I minor recommendation would be the center the image a little more so that the blackness is equally balanced on the left and right.  Honours
Time for ChangeMike TrushellThe moodiness of this image is excellent to set the scene depicting the story of changing time that the photographer is documenting.  Well done. Honours
Chillion Castle Lake GenevaJenny LeadbetterMedieval architecture is shown off well in this scene.  A recommendation would be to add a little more contrast and depth to show off the interesting forms.  It would also look great in black and white, something to consider perhaps.  Accepted
Old Tea House ShanghaiThe strong architecture and culture was seen and captured by the photographer.  However the darkness of the foreground and brightness of the background sky made it difficult to appreciate the full beauty.  Adding a little shadow into the darkness and bringing down the highlights of the sky would be one way to improve this very interesting image. No award
Deloitte’s Building VancouverPeter O’DeaModern architecture well captured.Accepted
Balcony, Bourbon St New OrleansBrian EdmundsWell done on spotting such intricate designs in this building.Accepted
A GRADE
Frankfurt highriseSue TitmussI enjoyed how the curvature and sharpness of the two buildings work with each other especially when the story is depicted in black and white which removes other distractions such as blue skies.Honours
DetailMichael MolloyFantastic capture and recognition that architecture and art can be found in the more mundane subjects such as public bathroom facilities.  Also beautiful simple color tones.  I would recommend that the horizontal lines be straightened a little to stop the image sloping to the right.  Honours
Eltville am Rhein fensterladen (window shutters)Sue TitmussThe rich tones, shadows and interesting window shutters opened at different angles creates a curiosity for the viewer making me wonder what are behind the walls.  Honours
RIBA NorthRosie CosterDirecting the viewers eyes with the sharp angle has been well done. Accepted
Postmodernist mirror building ViennaEunice BelkThis interesting and playful composition has been well spotted and composed by the photographer.  Accepted
Up thereRobyn YoungBusy city skyscrapers make for very interesting angles looking up.  The harshness of the sun has created some blown out skies.  It would be interesting to know what this scene might look like on an overcast day.  Well done.Accepted
Its all in the DetailCheryl MuirsonCurious architectural details have been well spotted by the photographer.Accepted
Old and NewRobyn YoungNice capture of historic and modern architecture.  There is a little heavy blur around the edges especially on the left which is a little distracting as it pulls my eye away from the center subject.   Accepted
Opera HouseCathy PriceSimplicity rules this image, nice work and captured details.Accepted
Fallen PastCheryl MuirsonSuch an interesting scene that I can study for a long time.  The color saturation could be pulled back a little or even converted into black and white to make it even more captivating.  Accepted
CUBESCathy PriceReally enjoyed this image and its simple cube & rectangle form.  I’m seeing the top corner of the tallest building cut off on my screen (perhaps its just my screen).  Including the missing corner could make this image even better.  Honours
Door to the pastColleen LinnellThis image has made me feel emotionally nervous like watching an intense horror movie.  Great decision to work in black and white.Honours
Te AikaColleen LinnellFun & playful architectural form make for this excellent composition.Honours
Detail Sydney opera HouseMarilyn HolgateGood details are capture in this image, I would have like to see the top of the Opera House which on screen looks to be cut off.Accepted
Museum of LiverpoolRosie CosterWell done on the composition of this image which has taken my eye from following the building out to sea.Accepted
Granity TheatreMichael MolloyLovely old building that’s been nicely documented.  I feel more space on the left and top would have created an even stronger image.Accepted
Newtown Court House, NSWMarilyn HolgateI enjoyed this image immediately.  One recommendation would be to correct the perspective of the vertical lines and to give it a more space at the top.Accepted
Three ArchesAllan McGregorEverything about this image to me screams winner.  The tones, meticulous composition, right amount of lightness/darkness that highlights important details.  The clincher is the center sculpture that pull in all aspects of the design and architecture of this scene.  Very well done.Honours
