As the end of the year is fast approaching (and after a message from Sandra) this is a timely reminder of the closing dates for our remaining competitions. They don’t follow the ‘standard pattern’ so keep this page handy for reference!
Street photography – closes Wed 7th October
Street photography features subjects in candid situations within public places, such as streets, parks, malls, etc, often caught at a decisive or poignant moment. No editing restrictions, however heavily edited images are not typical of the genre
This will be judged Tues 3rd Nov
Themed Portfolio – closes Wed 4th Nov
If you haven’t put any thought into this yet you had better get your A into G!!! Myself included!!
Themed portfolio is a set of 6 images with a common theme and one composite of the 6 images. There are no editing restrictions – yay!!!
This will be judged Tues 17th Nov
Supreme Image of the Year – closes Tues 10th Nov
- Two images can be entered
- Themed portfolios are not eligible for entry
- Images may not be altered in any way to that which was originally entered
- Images entered must meet one of the following criteria in the current year: i) Received an Honours or Acceptance ii) Been selected to represent the Society in an external competition
This will be judged Saturday 21st Nov at our 75th Diamond Anniversary Celebration and Final night – DON’T FORGET TO GET YOUR TICKETS!!!!
