DESCRIPTION:26th SEPTEMBER\nExpressions of intent required \nWe will split into 2 groups 1. Bird photographers  2. All others\, landscape\, street etc \nWe have been very privileged to have been offered the services of the eminent bird photographer Steve Attwood to show us around his favourite spots in the Little River area. He has asked for approximate numbers for who would go with him. He has room for 4 others in his vehicle and recommends 4wd vehicles for where he plans to take you. So carpooling will be best. Also does 2 to 3 hrs sound about right for this or longer? Please let Maxine Cooper know if you would like to join in with Steve Attwood for this once in a lifetime adventure. Contact Maxine at maxinecooper01@gmail.com  or ring her on 021 228 5877\nFor those not interested in bird photography there is a lot to do and see in Little River and a map with suggestions will be handed out on the day. The scenery is spectacular and the township interesting. Birdlings Flat is nearby and always worth a look. There are some really lovely old cottages nearby and a fabulous nature reserve full of birdlife. You can choose from 3 roads to go up to the hilltops. One overlooking Port Levy\, one above Akaroa and the other overlooking the Kaitorete Spit and out over the plains to the foothills.\nWe will all meet at 10 am outside the information station at Little River. \nPlease book this into your diary and let us know asap.

Head towards Amberley and take a right on to Ashworths Beach Road about 9km north of Waikuku. If you get to Pukeko Junction you have gone too far \n\n\n\nIf anyone is needing a ride I (Tabitha if you don’t know who writes these) will have a couple of spare seats. Hit me up at a meeting on Tuesday or flick me a text 021 235 2334 \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: Camera\, wide-angle lens\, sturdy tripod\, trigger (if you don’t have a trigger then your camera’s timer will do fine) lots of warm clothes\, and a head torch with red light \n\n\n\nA red light helps with night vision. If you don’t have a head torch with a red light then some red cellophane over the torch or clear tape with red marker pen works also.
