Message from our new president David Woodcock:
Dear RPS Members
Happy new year!
I hope that you have had a chance to sit back and relax in these recent weeks and as a result, are now poised to make the most of an exciting new year of ‘F F F’ with RPS! You’ll hopefully remember that ‘F F F’ stands for Fun, Fellowship and Fotography (as we were reminded by Malcolm Yorke at the Final Night).
Coming up rapidly is our ‘Launch Event’ at the Five Stags on Sunday 24th January. A quiz afternoon and we are encouraging you and your family to come along for some fun from 2 pm. Make up a team or join with others at the event to tackle the trivia quiz. There will be some finger food platters provided and you are welcome to make the most of the Five Stags’ offerings.
On February 2nd, the RPS club nights resume at the Main Power Cricket pavilion from 7 pm. We are set to kick the year off with a café-style evening which we hope will allow us to get back to together for a very social evening. There are many things to bring to your attention that evening, so don’t miss out!
Please BYO drinks and nibbles to complement the savouries, chips ‘n’ dips etc. from the Committee.
Important: please don’t forget your 6″x4″ print. This should be an image from your summer. Just a bit of fun to start the year and we all get to choose our favourite.
I must take the opportunity to make sure that you are aware of the following:
- RPS subscriptions are now due. Please pay as promptly as possible in response to the invoice already sent. Thank you!
- The 2021 RPS Programme is available on the website. Go to the calendar page and you will see a link in orange to the right: Programme 2021
- Online Challenge is ‘Blue’! closes end of Feb
That’s enough from me for now. I am really looking forward to catching-up with you very soon. So get your camera in your hand and get working on those amazing images I can’t wait to see either in competition or other presentations.
Good luck!
Dave
